I believe music has the ability to heal, influence emotions, inspire, and entertain its listeners. Before this journey started I was used to the negation, egocentric and self destructive themes found in the Hip-hop/Rap genre. Then it clicked, I could no longer afford to think according to those themes. If I was to change my life I needed reshape my thoughts, values, and music. I was seeking lyricism that reflected my life, reasoning, and outlook. My early influences were the likes of The Grouch of Living Legends, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Common. They spoke their life and observations and inspired me to do the same. My hope is that the insights I speak of , as well as the obstacles I work through in my songs promote positivity, perseverance, and the importance of possibilities. I make music to dispell the negative connotations associated with the Hip-hop/Rap Genre while inspiring my listeners to discover and pursue their passions, potential and humanity.
